Branconnier, Hector - September 25, 1957 - March 9, 2020 entered into rest at the Roblin District Health Centre at the age of 62 years. Hector was born in Swan River, Manitoba, to Louie and Alice Branconnier of San Clara. He attended school in San Clara and his final years, in Roblin. Being raised in a proud Metis family, Hector learnt outdoor skills, which he loved and lived. He worked at various jobs, but mostly at Home Hardware for then owner Metro Kozmeniuk. Metro, was a man Hector admired and he learned much at Home Hardware.

Hector and Verna were married in 1986, blending a family of 3 children; Michael, Shala and Laura. Hector devoted much time teaching his kids to; ski, drive a standard vehicle by the age of 11, tobogganing, rolling in a giant tire tube, quadding, gopher hunting, playing "Togo Puck" and so much more. As time went on these activities included the grandkids. Hector moved on to work at McMunn and Yates Building Centre for many years. Hector, later ventured out on his own, honing his carpentry skills and taking on many challenges. He was always eager to learn more and more. Although involved in many activities, archery hunting was his passion, which included a hunt in South Africa. Another call on his life was his compassion for the orphans of Seeds of Hope Children’s Ministry in Zambia. Hector participated in work projects at the orphanage there on 4 occasions. His faith in his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, motivated his desire to help wherever needed. He was tenacious, open, honest and truly kind.
