Gertrude Johannah Becker “Granny” (nee Andres) June 24, 1927 – December 3, 2017 passed away peacefully at Crocus Court Personal Care Home in Roblin, Manitoba at the age of 90.

On July 27, 1927 Trudy received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shevlin, Manitoba.  On September 13, 1942 she confessed her Baptismal faith in the rite of confirmation and received the precious gift of the Lord's life-giving body and blood.

Trudy was united in marriage to Alvin Otto Becker on November 27, 1946.  They worked side by side for 41 years, building a successful and diversified farm and farm service business.  God also blessed them with four children - Reg, Connie, Donna, and Mark.

Faith, family, and friends were very important to Trudy.  She willingly shared her gift of music in her church and with all her family and friends.  She eagerly and faithfully attended Sunday church services until a few weeks prior to her passing.  Trudy loved each of her children and extended that love to each of their spouses.  Once her grandchildren and great grandchildren came along, she considered them an extra blessing.  Each one held a special place in her heart.  She was lovingly known as Granny Becker, not only to them but to all their friends and to many in the community.  Trudy loved to cook and bake and so many people were at the receiving end of her famous homemade buns, strudel and pumpkin pies.  Everyone was welcome at Trudy's home at any time for a taste of her cooking and feisty sense of humour. On December 3, 2017 at the age of 90, Trudy fell asleep in Jesus.

Trudy was predeceased by her parents Edward and Hertha Andres (nee Doering); husband Alvin; brothers Herbert, Harold, Arnold (Emma); brother-in-law Art Wafler; grandson Todd Werschler and many in-laws on the Becker side of the family.

Cherishing her memory are her children Reg (Karen) and their daughters, Roanna (Kevin Ross), April (Todd Meyer); Connie (Elmer Werschler) and their daughters, Cory (Ian Bugera), Jody (Dave Cinfio); Donna (Wayne Buick) and their son, Brett (Victoria); Mark (Gwen) and their children, Troy (Angela), Trent, Heather (Lyndon Maurer), Joy (Skyler Hladun); and 10 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Eleanor Wafler and sisters-in-law Hannah Andres and Elfrieda Pastorius; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Prayers were held Friday, December 8, 2017 at 7 pm from the Chapel of NairnChyz-Wolkowski Funeral Home in Roblin, Manitoba.  Funeral Service was held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11 am from St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Roblin, Manitoba with Pastor Barry Wood officiating.  Interment followed at the Roblin District Cemetery.  Those who so wish may make memorial donations to the Roblin Hospital Ladies Auxiliary for use at the Personal Care Home in Roblin.  To leave a note of condolence for the family, please visit
