McIntyre, Arthur Wilfred - On Friday, April 12, 2019 our father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 96 years with his two daughters by his side.
Art was born to Mary and Whitney McIntyre on October 26, 1922 in Shell River, Manitoba. Art married his sweetheart Violet Reed on August 7, 1947 and lived on Art’s homestead five miles north of Roblin and were blessed with four children, Linda, Wilfred, Gail and Ivy.
Our Dad will be missed by daughters Gail (Allen) Bailey of Winnipeg, and Ivy (Reg) Reagan of Winnipeg; grandchildren Kim Armitage, Nathon (Megan) Bailey, Chandel (Crista) Bailey-Morrison, Marlana (Tyler) Crichton, and Cody (Sydney) Reagan; great grandchildren Brittany Armitage, Chloe and Callie Bailey-Morrison.
Art was predeceased by his wife Violet McIntyre; parents Whitney and Mary McIntyre; daughter Linda Mary Alice; son Wilfred Lee; as well as brother Rev. Earl McIntyre and sister Eva Fingas.
Art’s Funeral Service was held Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from Knox United Church, Roblin, Manitoba with Rev. Jenny Sprong officiating.
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care given from all the staff at Crocus Court Personal Care Home and are also grateful to Rev. Jenny Sprong, the staff at NairnChyz-Wolkowski Funeral Service, United Church Choir, Ladies Auxiliary, Organist - Mrs. Allison Craig, Fiddler - Ephrem Paul, the staff at Harvest Moon, and to all the friends that have sent countless messages and heartfelt condolences.
