Lynn Allen Yalowoski

1962 – 2012

Lynn Allen Yalowoski passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 49 years.

Lynn was born September 5, 1962 in Roblin, Manitoba, the fourth child of Sylvester and Mavis (nee Ludwig) Yalowoski.

Lynn will be sadly missed by his sister Lenora and husband Thomas Carriere, along with their children Jay and Rachel Carriere of Red Deer, and his sister Debora Yalowoski of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Lynn lived the early years of his life in Lynn Lake, Manitoba. He moved to Dawson Creek in 1983 to live with his sister Lenora. He moved back to Lynn Lake in 1985 to work for Sherritt Gordon Mines. He moved to Red Deer, Alberta in 1988 when the mine closed. His remaining years were spent in Red Deer, and Lynn’s most cherished role was that of “Uncle Lynn” to his niece and nephew, enjoying many celebrations and special events with them.

Lynn was predeceased by his sister Linda Yalowoski in 1981, his mother Mavis in 1991 and his father Sylvester in 1996.

To Lenora and Debbie and your families,

Thinking of you at this difficult time. Lynn was such a gentle soul.

A memory that immediately came to mind when I was thinking of Lynn was one specific night when I was maybe 7 or 8. Lynn must have been visiting your grandmas one summer. And one night our family was over at Uncle Calvin and Auntie Gladys, and both generations were at the big table playing cards. And I remember that I thought, wow, he is really having a good time!! :-) He was just so happy sitting at that table playing cards.

Sending lots of love your way,

Melanie and Joe
