   Anderson, Nellie (nee Matskiw) February 6, 1942 - April 9, 2018 beloved partner of Roy Storozynsky of Grandview, Manitoba entered eternal rest at the Grandview Hospital, after a long battle with cancer, on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the age of 76 years.  She passed away peacefully with her family by her side.

   Nellie was born in Grandview on February 6, 1942 to Elsie and Stanley Matskiw. Four years later, she was blessed with a sister Marion. Nellie received her education at Rose Ridge School and completed her education at the Grandview School. She has a special place in her heart for her school and Nellie maintained the Rose Ridge cairn yearly.

   Nellie began her work career in Roblin as a phone operator. It was here that she met her husband, Jack Anderson. They were married on April 27, 1963. They had four children; Kelly, Karen, Crystal, and Dale. The family lived in Forest, Thompson, and then made their final residence in Grandview on Nellie’s childhood home.

   After the untimely death of her husband Jack, Nellie worked at the Grandview Co-op until her retirement. During this time, Nellie met her partner, Roy Storozynsky. Nellie and Roy enjoyed thirty years together. Nellie enjoyed her retirement travelling, gardening, tending to her flowers, and spending time with her cherished grandchildren.

   Nellie is predeceased by her parents Elsie and Stan Matskiw, her husband Jack Anderson, her son Dale Anderson, and her mother and father in law John and Edna Anderson.

   Left to mourn Nellie are her partner Roy Storozynsky, daughter Kelly Kuzyk (daughters Samantha and Lauryn),  daughter Karen (Rob) Gryba ( children Easton, Eric and Evan), daughter Crystal (Lyall) Bates (son Levi), and daughter in law Angel Anderson. Nellie will be lovingly missed by her sister Marion, sister in laws, brother in laws and all of her nieces and nephews.

   Nellie was a quiet woman who embodied strength, dignity, and grace under the most difficult circumstances. She touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed.

   A Celebration Of Life Service was held Thursday, April 12, 2018 from the Grandview Kinsmen Community Centre in Grandview, Manitoba with Father Yaroslav Strukhalyak officiating.  Interment followed at the Roblin Catholic Cemetery, Roblin, Manitoba.  Those who so desire may make memorial donations to the Grandview Legion, Box 476, Grandview, Manitoba, R0L 0Y0.  To leave a note of condolence for the family please visit Nairn-chyzfuneralhome.com
