In  Loving Memory of

Edward Boden Stephanow

1958 – 2017

Edward Boden Stephanow “Eddy”, aged 58, was relieved of his courageous eight-month battle with cancer and entered into rest with his family by his side on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Roblin District Health Centre.  He passed away 11 years to the day of his father John Stephanow’s passing, which brought comfort and light to his wife and children.

Eddy was born on October 8, 1958 at Roblin, Manitoba.  He was the third child of John and Anne (nee Taylor) Stephanow.

On July 15th, 1978, Eddy married Beverley Wincheruk.  This union was blessed with three sons; Ryan, Randy and Dustin.  The boys all reside close to the family farm, and together they all took great pride in following in Eddy’s footsteps.

Established in 1987, “Edman Trucking” was the realization of a dream for Eddy.  This dream has led to a successful 30-year business, with his wife Bev and sons Ryan, Randy and Dustin by his side.

Eddy took great pride in developing “Future Family To-Do’s”.  One example is the family’s recent venture- “Green Acres Greenhouse”.  Once again, alongside one another, Eddy, Bev and the boys shaped it into another successful business.  This has brought much joy and laughter to Bev, as the family shared her “green thumb”.

Eddy held tons of love, respect and pride for his sons.  They never failed to amaze him.

Eddy was predeceased by his father, John Stephanow and his brother-in-law, Ben Wincheruk.

Left to mourn Eddy’s passing and cherish many fond memories are:  his mother, Anne; his beloved wife, Bev; his sons, Ryan (Amanda), Randy (Kayla) and Dustin (Kassity) and his dear grandchildren, Boden, Brodie, Reese and Layne.   Eddy will also be dearly missed by his sister, Debbie (Arnold) Dube; his brothers, Johnny Stephanow and Debbie Zibresky, Anthony (Lillian), Ken (Sandra), and Tim (Cheryle); his sisters-in-law, Gloria (Laverne) Spilak, and Betty Wincheruk; and his brother-in-law, Tom (Holly) Wincheruk.

Eddy will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family, as well as a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life Service was held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Roblin Community Centre in Roblin with Pastor Randy Moffit officiating.  The eulogy was delivered by Sandra and Cally Stephanow.  A video tribute to Eddy was presented by Edwin Popoff.

Following the service, an Interment Service took place in the Roblin District Cemetery.  Eddy was taken for one last ride to the cemetery on the back of one his Edman trucks, accompanied by his family.  He was carried to his final resting place by the Casket Bearers, Britteny Stephanow, Kevin Stephanow, Andrew Stephanow, Tyler Stephanow, Brent Spilak and Wade Taylor.

Following the Interment Service, a reception for family and friends was held at the Roblin Community Hall.
